planting azaleas

I bought new azaleas. They are about 15 inches in diameter. They are in a 2 gallon pot. I live in Vancouver. I want to know how to plant them in the ground, when , how deep the hole, add bone meal? , what kind of soil to use. Is a spot with half day of sun and half day of shade ok?
