Planted too many seeds in an egg carton. HELP!

Question

Are they too young to take out and replant in a larger container at this point?

This morning it looks like some or laying over.
The tall ones are Nicotiana (Indian Peace Pipe), and the ones with the red tipped toothpick are Love -Lies-Bleeding, and are just coming up.

These are way over-crowded. There are a few different options here. You can, either, carefully separate these into their own pots, or you can pinch off the tops of the seedlings that you do not need. Do NOT pull them.

When they lay over, it is usually because they require more light at this point in their life. Transplant them into separate pots, and either put them in a south facing window, or put them under synthetic, horticultural grade lighting until you can transplant them.

Keep in mind that the longer they grow like that, the more the roots will be entangled. Transplant them as soon as possible.

IF you decide to transplant them all separately, the best way to do this will be to wet the soil thoroughly and CAREFULLY get the entire egg spot out. Rinse off the soil and gently pull them into separate plants. Then get the pots ready with a slightly moist soil mix. Put a small hole in each place that you want to plant, then plce the root and about half the stem into the hole. Push the soil back up to the stem carefully on all sides. Give a slight spray with water from a spray bottle to set the soil around the plant. Most should survive just fine.
