Q.plantation

Anonymous added on July 8, 2015 | Answered

I want to grow plants in balcony of office building, but because of heat in May and June, most of the plants have died. Also, we want to grow plants in pots and planters. Please suggest some plants and creepers that we can grow in pots. I am thinking to grow Cycas palm in pots. Is that fine in heated area but not in direct sunlight? Should I do some changes in soil of planter?

The plants in the following articles will do well in heat as they love full sun. That said, they can also do well in brightly lit areas out of direct sun. Additionally, many of these can be planted in pots, as the palm you suggested is a good choice too. Just make sure they have adequate drainage and loose, well-draining soil. You will also want to choose pots that do not tip as easily since balconies can sometimes get windy. (choosing wind resistant plants might be helpful too)
