Plant Ideal for Pergola

I wonder which plant ideal for a pergola that has as one of its objectives to promote shading. Approximate width: 4 to 5 m. Thank you.

Wisteria is normally the choice of planting for these types of conditions. They grow quickly and can take a good amount of abuse. People also like to use grapes for sunny locations too.
