Plant that needs to be identified

Question

We have a plant in our yard the we can’t identify. It is about 5ft tall and about 1/2 inch round. There are leafs about halfway up the stalk, and towards the top what looks like berries. When I first noticed the plant it looked like asparagus to me. I will attach a picture. Thanks for any help you can give me. My name is Laurel Kortanek
