Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI recently received some plants from a friend who moved away, and have two questions:
1. Is there a way to encourage leaf growth at the base of my rubber tree?
2. What is the thin-stemmed plant potted with the rubber tree? How can I encourage growth near its base?

Pruning will encourage your rubber tree to produce more growth at the base. Remove about one-third to one-half of the length of the branches as described in this article:
