Plant identification

Hi there. I live in Lethbridge Alberta, Canada. I bought the house I’m in last summer so do not know most of the spring plants appearing in the yard. The lady that lived here had the most beautiful flower garden I have ever seen. Unfortunately I’m not much of a gardener but I am trying to learn so that I can keep up her beautiful garden that she must have worked so hard on! These are growing everywhere!! There are hundreds. I can’t identify them and although I may be able to once they bloom I’m worried that if they’re a weed that may be too late then to do anything about them!
Any help in identifying them would be awesome!

It is just a bit early to make any identification. Wait until you have leaves unfurl and bud; and yes, as you mention flowers!
If you want a guess, Crocus.

If you are unable to identify after they flower, please send us an image!

Hi there. Thank you. My crocus have all been and gone here in lethbridge and these are much bigger.
I will wait and see and send a photo when the leaves have opened. Someone else said they might be Hostas. We’ll have to wait and see. Thanks for your answer.
