Q.Plant/hedge-type Recommendation Please

I would like to plant tall plantings like bamboo to provide some privacy and ambiance for our roof top garden. Like a hedge but does not need to be dense. Full sun, coastal San Diego area, containers are 2’deep, 1’ wide, 4’ length. Anything that will grow at least 5 feet tall in a container of this size? Thank you for any plant recommendations!

You probably won't find anything that will grow that tall with such limited container space, except bamboo! The invasive grass will grow just about anywhere.
