Q.Plant Care

Anonymous added on September 11, 2011 | Answered

I have a Kaffir lime tree in the backyard of a rental property I’ve just moved to. It looks like many of its leaves have been eaten by something, but it looks like it has a disease because it has a speckled scale on the leaves and branches. Any ideas of how I can help it get better? New leaves are coming through that look fine.

This is typically a sign of either a scale or aphid infestation, both of which can be hard to spot. I would treat the tree for these pests. I recommend neem oil for this. It is very effective but still organic. Here is more information to help you: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/scale-bug-how-to-control-plant-scale.htm
