Placing Potted Geranium Plants Outside for Summer

My geraniums are kept in a sunroom in pots during the winter months. The room eventually becomes too hot for them, so I take them outside in their pots and place them around the yard. They do wonderfully in the sunroom all winter but when placed outside they do not do as well. Any suggestions?

The plants need to be properly acclimate first. Place them in an area with bright, indirect light for several days before allowing them to sit in the sun. They will usually exhibit some leaf yellowing and dropping as they adapt to the new surrounding but this should cease on its own.
