How do I pinch back a coleus plant to prevent it from growing taller and to make it grow fuller? Thank you.

Hi. It is actually very easy to do and those type of plant are easy because they are softer. Certain plants have more of an apical dominance incentive, (like poinsettias) so once you remove the hormone that induces apical dominance from the top of the plant, that plant will shift the growth outward instead of upwards. Just use your first two and pinch the top off at about 1-2 weeks after planting depending on size of plant. Usually it is beat to pinch them early so they will push out more rapidly. Hope this helps.
