Piggyback plants indoors

I purchased two plants, when I got them home I left them alone for one day to adjust then I planted them in a pot, they did not do much in a day or two I made sure it had light and watered properly but one of the plants dies completely the second one keeps having dry crispy leaves and then dies. The baby ones do the same. What am I doing wrong?

It seems these are picky about watering. You must make sure that it does not stay wet, or get dry. It must remain moist slightly at all times. Also, this is a shade plant only. It does not do well in bright light. Here is an article on their care:
