Peyote (Canada)

I recently bought a peyote cacti and just realized i have no idea how to care for it. I dont want to kill this rare species, i bought it believeing it would bloom once a year and it would remain the same dark green/blue color. Can you give me tips on what kind of lighting conditions to give it and if there is a specific amount of water i should give it each month. Also how frequently do i water it?
