Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have several crepe myrtles and just noticed many of them are covered with what looks like some type of lice. I sprayed them with liquid Sevin and noticed some sort of flying type insects all around them. Some where small but I also noticed a few that were a little larger, black with a little orange on the back of them. Do you have any other suggestions for getting rid of this other than what I am using? Also, how often would you spray, etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It may be aphids, though I’m not sure of the others. At any rate, you could try neem oil. It is effective against numerous types of insect pests but safe for beneficial insects, like bees.
