Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comMy money plant has a pest on it which is causing a honeydew stickiness on the leaves and with some cobwebbing, and now half the leaves of the plant are covered in a black sooty mold. What is the original pest and how do I go about treating it and the black soot mold?
Your help would be much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Ida
P.S. Would the plant need to repotted, as it’s been in the same pot for many years?

Due to the presence of webbing you most likely have spider mites – neem oil would be a good remedy. Here is an article on spider mites for your review: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/insects/spider-mite-treatment.htm [1]
