Q.Pest Eggs in my garden

Zone 18360 zone 6 | Jessmar88 added on May 16, 2016 | Answered

What are these green eggs I found in my cow manure compost? They were all over the compost when I purchased it from Lowes and I didn’t think to research them before laying the manure in my garden. I just assumed they weren’t anything bad, but now I’m seeing little slugs and worms in my garden (it’s a raised bed with freshly dumped soil that I’ve been mixing manure and peat moss into) and I’m wondering if that’s possibly what the eggs are. Picture included. Thank you!

I can't identify any pests from this image.

The presence of slugs and worms in your garden likely have not connection to the compost, since these are most likely found around or in most gardens.

You may want to contact the manufacturer and tell them your concerns.
