Persian Shield

I bought this Persian shield about a couple of weeks ago and my plant was doing well. I was taking care of it as per your suggestion written in your article about it. It has been raining here for last five days. First two days my Persian shield was under direct rain. Then I moved it under my porch and it was fine. Today morning my plant was looking a little weak. Right now I find it like this(picture attached). Please suggest what to do.

According to your suggestion I’m caring for my polka dot and aluminum plant and both of them are doing well.

Thanking you,
Shahin.

Persian shields need even moisture, but not tremendous amounts. I think your plant got over-watered when it was out in the rain for two days. I would recommend that you allow the soil to dry out some then re-pot the plant into a clean pot (with bottom drainage holes) in fresh potting soil. Inspect the plant for root-rot before re-potting and trim off any damaged roots.
