Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comLooking for hardy, non-invasive vines (be nice to have in an North American native) to plant on our new pergola. I have been working to bring myself up to speed on the various vines and find that I get more confused as to what would work well, not take over (Chinese wisterias) and would not drop all their leaves due to mildew or munched by Japanese beetles. Pergola is on the southeast side of the house, full sun, clay loam soil. Zone 5. Do you have any suggestions? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
