Q.Peppers That ‘Spot’

I have several purple and red bell pepper plants in ‘Grow Boxes’ and almost all of them develop grayish tan spots before they ripen. Before they are fully matured they will tear at the tan spots. Do you have any idea why this happens and how I can correct it?

If the spot in on the top of the fruit, then it is likely sunscald and is from too much direct sunlight. A simple shade will help stop it. If it is on the bottom of the fruit, then it is blossom end rot. This article will help with that:
