Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comGood afternoon
I’ve had a garden in OHIO since 1998, in the same Southwest corner of my yard. Its approx. 30×30.
I plant tomatoes (never do well), zucchini, eggplant, acorn squash, cucumbers and PEPPERS, about 50-60 peppers of different kind (black pearl, jalapeno, ghost, hot wax, sweet wax, bell, etc.)
They are usually very very very bountiful, but last year. NONE OF THE PEPPER GREW, NONE. It wasn’t the nursery, because the peppers I put into POTS on the Patio, grew very well. The other plants– cucumber, squashes, etc. did great, but NONE OF THE PEPPERS GREW (isn’t that STRANGE??)
I till, I use peat moss, and cow manure, bloom+, been doing the same thing for 20 yrs. with success. BUT LAST YEAR, NONE GREW,
Very strange.
Can u help?
We have clay soil, but it’s been amended with fertilizer, etc. for 20yrs, my fear is the minerals that the peppers need are gone now..
BUT NONE of the peppers grew??
Any help would be great!
Thank u
Denis

Have you had the pH tested? There could be several minerals missing, or just out of range due to the pH. You can take a sample of it to your nearest local extension service, and they will be able to sample it for you.
