pepper spots

I have a container garden with bell peppers and banana peppers. I have noticed on one of the bell and one of the banana peppers there is a yellow/brown spot. I had them in direct sunlight. Is this from too much sun? I live in Albuquerque, NM. Thanks.

If the spot in on the top of the fruit, then it is likely sunscald and is from too much direct sunlight. A simple shade will help stop it. If it is on the bottom of the fruit, then it is blossom end rot. This article will help with that:
