Q.Pepper Problem

I have some pepper plants in containers on my patio. This is the first time I have grown veggies. The plants are producing very well, leaves are green, new blossoms often but, I am picking the peppers regularly due to one side getting sort of rotted. Some are just really brown on one side. Even ones that are covered by the shade leaves. The peppers are Green Bell, Green Chili and now my Red Bells are starting. I potted them a few weeks ago with Miracle Grow Moisture Control soil. Any ideas?
