Pepper plant

I have a few pepper plants growing in containers on my patio. A few of them have a huge fused bell shape leaf instead of individual leaves. What caused this??

Although they are strangely shaped, these leaves look healthy, and as long as the rest of the plant is disease-free with no signs of insect pests and no herbicides have been used nearby, this is probably nothing to worry about. It could simply be a genetic trait of the “batch” from which your plants were grown. You may find that the leaves separate on their own as the plant matures. Keep an eye on them for a while and if you start to see signs of disease or pests, take immediate action. These articles may help you:
