What do the leaves look like? Any holes, rings, bulls eyes, speckles, stipples or spots? It could still be pests – some pests, such as spider mites, are nearly invisible to the naked eye. I recommend holding a piece of paper under the leaves of the plant and shaking the plant gently. If it is spider mites, specks will fall on the paper that looks similar to pepper.

Environmental conditions could also be to blame. Hot winds combined with low humidity will cause leaf curl – do they curl only in response to heat?

Also, herbicide drift can cause leaf curl – has anything been sprayed near your plants?
