Peonies leaves look white

My peonies have had a white coating on the leaves recently and now the leaves are beginning to turn brow at the edges. What should I spray them with to get rid of this? Or is it too early to cut them back? They bloomed profusely in the spring and I don’t want to prevent them from blooming next spring.
