It’s October. Why is my peonie sending up shoots & new leaves. What should I do? Zip code 94592 Thanks

You are in hardiness zone 9b with minimum temperatures averaging 25 to 30 degrees F. Peonies are more of a cool weather flower but usually do fine through zone 8. I would go ahead and cut them to the ground as usual.
