Q.peonies

Zone 79201 | jerneva1 added on October 23, 2017 | Answered

I have two peonies which were planted in a flowerbed years ago. They are in the same bed as irises. Now the irises have overtaken the peonies and they are suffering. I would like to put the peonies in large containers. I am elderly and can no longer work the flowerbeds. When should I make this move?

I do believe this is the best move. It is very possible to move, and even divide them. Here is an article that will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/peony/dividing-peony-plants.htm
