Q.Pear tree lost leaves

Zone BC, Canada | aki555 added on May 12, 2019 | Answered

A pear tree lost 90 % of leaves. The tree looked normal 10 days ago. There are no fallen leaves on the ground, so I think bugs (?) had eaten leaves.
1. What is the possible cause of losing leaves?
2. Will the tree survive? If so, what should I do to help the tree get back to normal?

The leaves appear marked and distorted. These can be signs of pests and or disease.
I would rake up any leaves on the ground and dispose of to prevent further spread of disease.
Inspect the tree more closely and use the articles below to help you.
