Pear Tree

I have a 5 year old Conference pear tree and for the last 3 years the fruit it bears tend to go a dark brown coffee colour and fall before they are ripe. The fruit grows to full size but then crack and dark blemishes appear. The flesh is very soft and the fruit is inedible. What do you think might be causing this? Planted nearby is a 10 year old Bramley apple tree, which has not fruited in the last 5 years. Could there be any connection? I would appreciate your advice on this.

This is likely a Fire Blight issue.
