Q.Peach tree thinning

Zone Hamilton, NJ | Anonymous added on July 2, 2018 | Answered

I recently read your article about thinning peaches — since it is late June and I was tardy in getting to it I used Method 3.

I was wondering if the thinned fruit has any use? If by letting it accumulate by the base of the tree (or covered with mulch) would the nutrients return to the soil or is that not possible?

It is best to clean up the dropped fruit to avoid pests and disease.
