Q.peach tree

Anonymous added on June 21, 2015 | Answered

My 2 year old Georgia peach tree is starting to produce peaches. The problem is the peaches are so big and heavy the branches are breaking. Should I be taking off peaches to reduce the weight on the branches or should I just try to support the branches?

Normally, thinning out the fruits early on helps with this, though removing some of the peaches now wouldn't hurt either. Here is more information on thinning peach trees: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/peach/peach-tree-thinning.htm
