Peach disease

Growths appear on the twigs of our peach tree, They are white and seem to have come through the bark. They seem to be mostly at ‘junctions’ and are a bit like sticky candy floss if you pull them off. They don’t seem to grow much, to about half a centimetre max, and oval in shape with the dark bark they have pushed through still on one end of the white stuff. I can’t find a picture on any website and therefore don’t know what it is, or what to spray with. Can you advise please? Many thanks – Richard Gordon
