Peace lily dying

Question

I have a peace lily plant which has no roots at all. It had roots once upon a time, but due to overwatering there was root rot. I don’t want to lose this plant, but no matter how I plant it, it still is growing too slow. I have placed it in a little water right now to root it using hydroponics. Please suggest how to get it to root profusely. I tried planting it in cocopeat, which according to my research done on net was the best medium for it. Still am not quite happy with the results. Can you suggest ways to grow it in water?

Peace lilies grown in water usually develop very small roots in order to avoid root rot. They also are less healthy and shorter-lived than peace lilies grown in soil. Since yours hasn’t done well rooting in water, you should probably move it to soil or a soil-free rooting medium.
