Can a peace lily be planted in a pot on the east facing porch and be left there during the winter?

Unfortunately, no, your peace lily will only survive down to about 45 degrees without sustaining damage. You will want to move it indoors when the temperatures dip below 50. Here is an article on their care: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/peace-lily/peace-lily-plants.htm ^[1]
