pavement ants in garden solution on line

So I used the combo of Washing soda (not Borax, as it turns out) with sugar and water in my best 4 cup Pyrex glass container and saved the leftover overnight. Now it has solidified and I cannot seem to get it out. I used lots of vinegar to no avail. Please help me break up the mess!

Put the pyrex dish in a pot with an inch or two of water and simmer till it melts the contents.
