Passion flower bud dropping off

My Passion flower vine has buds, but they turn yellow and drop off. Why? Is it too much water or not enough?

This could be a watering issue as you suggest- either underwatering or overwatering will cause bud drop. Make sure it has well-drained soil, enough drainage holes if it's in a container, and that you water well when the soil is almost dry but don't overwater or water too often so that the soil is soggy.

Bud drop can also be caused by pests, so check the flowers and leaves for any insects or mites.
