Q.Papaya tree

Zone Orlando, FL | Tanya Ohle added on February 15, 2018 | Answered

I live in Central Florida and have a papaya tree that was damaged by a short freeze. I covered the bottom but the top is damaged so should I cut the damaged top off?

I would not cut it until it is warmer, and starts to put out new growth again. They are not cold tolerant, and you may have to find a way to cover the top with burlap if possible.
