Q.Palm Tree Roots Issues

Zone London | w1ll1am1 added on January 18, 2021 | Answered

Hi, I am concerned about 2 palm trees on my property. The first, I think, needs to be chopped down as there is a large hole and hollow trunk at the base of the tree. I am assuming this is irreparable? The second palm tree has visible roots showing above the ground. Is this normal? I do not want this tree to suffer the same fate as the other tree. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I do not want to lose both of them! If there is anything I should be doing to ensure they remain healthy please, let me know! Thanks in advance!
