Q.Palm Tree Branches Need Tying Up

Zone Southampton | Anonymous added on September 9, 2021 | Answered

My palm tree is growing out and not up. We have tried tying the leaves up with wire but I would prefer to bind the leaves up from the trunk so it looks better….maybe with rope? Any advice would be great

Unfortunately, you may have to pick a different genus of tree if you do not like the way that this one grows. Palms need room to spread, and if they are forced to remained cramped, can lead to infections.

Unfortunately, I would pick a smaller palm for the area, or a different plant, altogether.
