Palm Pups

Good morning I am going to part a Palm Pup from the main plant. I have read your instructions and have only one question. You say put a plastic bag over the Pup for a couple of weeks once you have parted it and planted it in a pot, so could you tell me please it I use a clear plastic or a black plastic bag? does it need light or dark? This will be clear. The purpose will be to trap in humidity, while still allowing the palm to receive light.
