Overwintering Hardy Fuchsias in Zone 5

I just purchased a Hardy fuchsia. How do I care for it in Zone 5? It is in a pot now. Should I plant it in the ground and mulch it?

If you want to put it in the garden, then yes, cut it down and give it a generous covering with mulch over winter. It can also be over wintered indoors. Here is more information: [1]
