Over wintering container fig tree

I pruned my tree in late fall and am storing in garage (have done so for five years without issues). Noticed that the tree is developing some leaves as well as several figs. What should I do?

Temperature fluctuations or some warmer temperatures may have caused the Fig to break dormancy.

Through my research this can be a common with certain varieties of Fig Trees.
Most sources recommend removal of these small figs and continue to keep the fig in the cold storage environment. Only water occasionally to keep the soil from drying completely. Overly wet soil could lead to root freezing if the temperatures drop again.
