Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI am about to spray Ovacide on roses. None on plant, this is preventive. Do I spray only the ground and base of plant since none on the leaves? This is a twice a season program followed by regular spray with avid.

SInce it is a prevention spraying program you are doing, spraying the ground around the base of the plant and the base of the plant is a good way to go. However, “always” read the label on the product you are using prior to mixing or any use of the product. Follow the directions on the label well too. Mixing the product too strong or too weakly will both have negative effects in one way or another. Water the plants well the day before application of any such product too. If the spider mites are present though, check the undersides of the leaves, they may be there and are just not seen readily.
