outdoor yucca plants

I have several yucca plants growing in one area. This summer they all became infested with quick bugs (yucca plant bugs). From what I read, I have to spray yucca thoroughly and repeat several times. I tried… but it’s impossible (for me) to spray all these leaves. I am wondering if I can instead cut all the leaves to the ground now, in October? Will this eliminate the bugs? Should I treat the soil or these bugs only live on leaves?

I don’t think I would recommend cutting the whole thing down… I have a recipe that makes quick work of both pests, and soil infections. If you don’t have everything in the recipe that is ok, but the more you have the better it works. The recipe is as follows:

First, you will want to prime the soil with dolomitic lime, then spread wettable sulfur to Kill off any infection in the soil. I Also like to spray the plant itself. Mix a few drops of one or more of these ingredients into warm water with a spoonful of coconut oil: Rosemary oil, lavender oil, neem oil, garlic oil, cinnamon extract/oil and for really bad cases, also add clove oil.
