Q.Outdoor patio pineapple plant

Zone Chicago/ East side 11th floor patio | Anonymous added on July 4, 2018 | Answered

HI……….I have had pineapple plant for about two and a half years…….first two years indoors. Plant did fantastic inside……Moved outside begining of this summer…..Strong wind broke several leaves……Now many are turning a brownish yellow…….and I fear I may be watering too much….I cut off leaves at the place where they broke……..was this the wrong thing?
I have just now slowed down on watering so that it just keeps soil moist. But it just doesn’t look good now.
Also, this is in Chicago, and plant is on east side of building. THANKS……
Dave

Your plant looks quite healthy.
Adjusting the plant slowly to outdoor conditions and sunlight will help the plant from being stressed.
