plant has what looks like brown stubs where each leaf is

We have this plant at work and I took a cutting and planted at home. We are now noticing these bumps on the plant at home and at work. We just want to make sure the plant does not have a disease or anything. Are these normal? They look like brown cones and are about 1/4 inch to a 1/2 inch in size. They are at the point right below a leaf extension from the main branch.

I think your talking about a Philodendron or a Pothos.

This is normal for this plant. This is how the plants attach themselves to a structure or the soil.
