Ornamental millet leaves

The leaves on my plant turn brown and wither. What can be the cause. If it is because of the wind, then this is not a good choice for South Dakota. The plant has never gotten dry and gets full sun until late afternoon. It looke d so nice in the greenhouse.

Yes, this is common on these plants with a hot and dry wind. You could try relocating the container to a more sheltered location. There is little to be done with the existing damage, but preventing further stress is the best remedy.
