Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have as a gift a lemon tree with two lovely lemons on it, but on the label it says: “this is an ornamental lemon tree. Do not eat the fruit!” Why is this?

The Lemon Tree has likely been treated with chemicals from the growers and this label is placed on the trees for the safety of the consumer.
Many people remove these Lemons and dispose of, then any new lemons can be safely eaten.
