Hydrangea Plants

Would love to plant an ornamental, privacy producing bush about 8 ft. from my patio on my corner lot. Totally love all the hydrangeas but the area is on the southwest sunny side of house. Japanese beetles love my white rose of Sharon, thst’s out. Any suggestions??
