Yes, many species of orchids go dormant. The length of time is going to vary according to what species of orchid you have and what growing conditions you have given it. Some orchids go dormant for several months. If you currently have an orchid, what you’ll first want to do if find out what species you have and then learn its requirements. There are many species of orchids.
